Stainless bead is atomised — melted at high temperature and gas-quenched — giving a perfectly spherical medium of the highest quality. A controlled nickel content keeps it ductile. Against conventional media it wins on technical quality, running cost and environmental impact alike.
It resists impact without cracking and wears evenly, giving a bright surface — well suited to precise roughness requirements
Lasts over 45 times longer than glass bead, six times longer than ceramic bead and twice as long as stainless cut wire — very economical
Parts resist moisture during blasting and there is little static in winter
Produces little dust, so the workplace stays clean and waste disposal costs less; its wear resistance also extends machine life
It leaves a film after blasting that slows corrosion on steel and castings
